Justin Ray Franklin

SUMMER SHADE – Justin Ray Franklin, 43, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. He was born in Glasgow, May 5, 1983, to Ronnie and Linda Stephens Franklin. Justin was preceded in death by his grandparents Gordon (Juanita) Franklin and Raymond (Lugene) Jessee.

Justin dedicated much of his professional life to being a tree climber, a role that perfectly suited his spirit and love of the outdoors. Known for his smile and outgoing personality, he had the ability to bring lightness and laughter to those fortunate enough to cross his path. Beyond his career, Justin had several hobbies and interests. An avid explorer of caves and an enthusiastic gardener, he nurtured life both beneath the earth and above it. He enjoyed tending to his garden, growing vegetables, cooking, and canning.

He is survived by his parents, Ronnie and Linda Franklin of Summer Shade; siblings, Chris (Angela) Franklin, Jennifer (Wes) Harlow, and Troy (Krystal) Franklin; and one nephew, Blake Franklin. He is also survived by a host of cousins.

The family has chosen cremation with a memorial service at a later date.
