Deborah Lee Pruitt

GLASGOW – Deborah Lee (Ryan) Pruitt, age 63, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by loved ones. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished daughter, sister, grandmother, and loyal friend.

She was known for her fierce love, protective nature, and unwavering dedication to her family and to the community and students she served. After retirement from serving the Glasgow Independent School System, one of her greatest joys was becoming a grandmother to her first grandchild—a role she treasured deeply and embraced with immense love, though her time in this role was far too short.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Pruitt, of Glasgow; her daughters, Kristin Murley (Chris) and Kennedy Baltz (Michael); and grandchild, Aspyn Baltz; her sister, Melissa Simpson (Greg); mother, Amelia Ryan; as well as nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held graveside at Glasgow Municipal Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 2026, with no prior visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Her love and memory will live on forever. Arrangements entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
