Rondal Curtis Francis
GLASGOW – Rondal Curtis Francis, 90, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026, at his residence. Curtis was born on November 26, 1935, in Etoile, Kentucky, to the late L.G. “Jack” Francis and Della Waller Francis. He is survived by his two sons, Tim (Karen) and Tony (Tamara); four grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan (Mandy), Caitlin Brewer (Wade), and Josh (Caroline Herringdon); and six great-grandchildren, Braylin Francis, Melody Francis, Avery Brewer, Raylan Brewer, Josie Francis, and Maverick Francis. In addition, he is survived by two siblings, Clarice Strode and Cleveland Francis; sister-in-law, Connie Francis; and several nieces and nephews.
Curtis was a loving husband and father. Curtis’ career spans decades as a machinist, with a later in life retiring from Barren County School Systems as a bus driver. His greatest joy came later in life, when he accepted Christ Jesus as his personal savior in 2014. Curtis loved to just sit and spend time with his grandkids and great-grandkids. Curtis was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dimple McIntyre Francis; brothers, Clifton Francis and Clarence Francis; brother-in-law, Harold Strode; and sisters-in-law, Shirley Francis and Janie Francis.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 1, 2026, at 1:00 pm at Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 3 pm, Thursday, April 30, 2026, and continue on Friday until time of the funeral. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Southside Baptist Church Building Fund or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
