Jason Wayne Cross

CAVE CITY – Jason Wayne Cross, 41, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 24, 2026, at the T J Samson Community Hospital. Jason was a native of Barren County and one who could be characterized as an outdoorsman. He loved to fish as well as having an avid interest in guns. He was a supervisor at the Dollar General Warehouse in Scottsville and attended the Echo Mission Church.

Survivors include his wife, Samantha; his parents, Doug and Gail Hayes Cross; one sister, Latichia Cross Chapman and husband Tyler; nine nieces and nephews, Taylen Jones, Charlee Cross, Madilyn Cross, Jeremiah Chapman, James Phelps, Braydon Phelps, Alyssa Phelps, Lukas Phillips, and Oliver Philips; as well as several other aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Sunday and will continue all day Monday and Tuesday morning at the funeral home.
