Givens elected 1st vice president of Kentucky magistrates association

LEXINGTON — Butler County Magistrate Stevie Givens has been elected 1st vice president of the Kentucky Magistrates & Commissioners Association following the organization’s annual meeting held March 19, 2026, in Lexington.
The association, headquartered in Frankfort, conducted its annual election of officers and directors during the meeting.
Givens said he is honored to serve both his county and colleagues across the state.
“I am honored to serve the citizens of Butler County as Magistrate and grateful for the trust my colleagues have placed in me to represent and serve counties across Kentucky,” Givens said.
Founded in 1952, the Kentucky Magistrates & Commissioners Association is a statewide nonprofit organization representing fiscal courts in Frankfort. The group serves as the unified voice for 564 elected county magistrates and commissioners across the Commonwealth, while also providing advocacy, training and educational opportunities.
Executive Director JC Young said the association continues to be led by committed public servants.
“This association is comprised of dedicated and humble public servants,” Young said. “I am proud of this organization’s leadership and their continued commitment to serve this historic association at the state level.”
