James Ray Borders

GLASGOW – James Ray Borders, 71, passed away Friday, February 13, 2026, at University of Louisville Hospital. He was the son of the late Robert Borders and Nell Bunch Borders. James was a faithful member of First Church of the Nazarene.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Phyllis Ann Borders; two daughters, Robin Joines and Ashley Borders; four grandchildren, Shana Edwards (Corey), Joshua Etherton, William Etherton, and Bethany Etherton; four great-grandchildren, Landon Edwards, Kynleigh Edwards, Kaydence Etherton, and Jaxon Towne; and one brother, Charles Borders (Lyrae); nephew, Jason Stahl; two nieces, Jayme Holder, and Daniell Burden.

Memorial service will be held 11:00 Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the First Church of The Nazarene. The family will receive family after 10:00 am on Saturday at the church. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home are assisting the family with arrangements.
