Robert Joseph “BJ” Jones
EDMONTON – Robert Joseph “BJ” Jones, 59, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Gary, IN, to the late William David Jones and Vivian Burroughs Jones, who survives.
BJ was a member of Trinity Outreach Church, where he enjoyed helping out with the children. He had a love for music, often found playing his harmonica. BJ loved coloring, fishing, watching WWE wrestling, playing pool, but most of all playing bingo. He was known as the karaoke king at the day care. BJ was also acted in five movies for the Oklahoma Welcome Center.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Angie (Tommy) Pedigo of Edmonton, Nathan (Stephanie) Jones of Bates City, MO, William Casey Jones of Bates City, MO, Ronnie Johnson, Cindy Johnson, and Wanda Johnson all of Magan, KY; special care giver, Melissa Caffee; special girlfriend, Patricia “Pat” Poynter; and his many friends at Shuffett’s Adult Day Health. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Robert’s memory will be honored by those who knew him well, as they remember a man who radiated joy and encouraged smiles. He leaves a lasting impression through his many interests, unwavering kindness, and the connections he formed with others throughout his life.
The family has chosen cremation and will have a memorial service at a later date. Butler Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted to the care of Mr. Jones.
