James E. Howard

GLASGOW – James E. Howard, 71, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital. A native of Barren County, he was the son of the late Hardin and Cassie Franklin Howard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ollie Franklin.

James was a loving and sweet man who never met a stranger. He loved being with our family of friends at our place of worship, The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. James was retired from the maintenance department of the T.J. Samson Community Hospital after many years of respected service.

Survivors include his wife, Mayme; three sons, Christopher, Robert, and Anthony; two daughters, Melissa Spearman and Janie Williams; two brothers, Charles Howard (Janice) and Eston Howard; five sisters, Wanda Howard, Carolyn Carter, Libby Dice, Janice Allen, and Janice Bradley (Danny); along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Trojan Trail in Glasgow. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
