David Lee Polson
EDMONTON – David Lee Polson, 79, passed away Friday, November 28, 2025, in his home. He was the son of the late Albert Lee and Edna Nunn Polson.
David was a loving husband, father, and Pa. After graduating, he proudly served in the United States Army. Thereafter, he was a dedicated member of VFW Post 5906 in Glasgow. David served as Post Commander for many years and was a member of the Order of the Cootie. He was also awarded the title of Kentucky Colonel in 2003. David was an avid collector, accomplished horseman, and avid UK fan. Above all else, he enjoyed sharing his knowledge and experience with others.
David is survived by his daughter, Danielle Lee Polson (Mallory) of Glasgow; stepdaughter, Stacy Harper (Jason) of Edmonton; grandchildren, Kinzy Froedge (Logan) of Edmonton; Tyler Croft (Whitney) of Glasgow; John Croft of Cave City; Kendall Croft of Cave City; Cody Butler (Nakeya) of Edmonton; Destiny Priddy (Travis) of Sonora; Jaycie Harper of Edmonton, and Jase Harper of Edmonton; great-grandchildren, Luna and Lailah Croft, Dezmin and Luca Butler, and Bryson and Waylon Priddy; sister Gayle Polson of Campbellsville; and longtime friend, Quinton Hollins of Edmonton.
David was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Polson; daughter, Tamara Croft; and stepson, Jeff Greever.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday and after 7:00 am on Thursday until time for services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in David’s honor to the Wounded Warrior Project.
