Five Candidates from Same Household File for Glasgow Mayor, City Council

GLASGOW — In what may be a first for the City of Glasgow, a mayoral candidate and four city council candidates — all sharing the same home address — have officially filed to run in the upcoming 2026 election.
Mayoral candidate Bob Miller, along with his daughter Emberlyn Miller, son Korbin Miller, girlfriend Cathy Thomas, and step-grandfather Vernon “Randy” Cundiff, each submitted their paperwork at the Barren County Clerk’s Office. All five list the same residence on Leslie Avenue, a home they purchased after moving to Glasgow in June of this year.
Under Kentucky law, requirements for both mayor and city council candidates are minimal. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, must have lived inside the city limits for at least one year prior to the election, and must pay a $50 filing fee. The group met those requirements and signed each other’s paperwork during filing, according to Barren County Clerk Helena Chase Birdwell’s office.
While Emberlyn Miller, Korbin Miller, and Randy Cundiff are new to politics, Bob Miller and Cathy Thomas are not. Both previously ran for office in Munfordville, Kentucky — Miller narrowly losing a mayoral bid in 2022, and both he and Thomas running unsuccessful city council campaigns in 2024.
Miller will face incumbent Mayor Henry Royse, along with any additional mayoral candidates who file before the January 9, 2026 deadline.
Five individuals have filed for the nine council seats so far: Emberlyn Miller, Cathy Thomas, Vernon Randall Cundiff, Korbin Thomas Miller, and incumbent Marna Kirkpatrick.
The Barren County Progress will continue to update readers on candidate filings, their backgrounds, voting histories, and campaign positions both in print each week and online as information develops at www.JobeNews.com.

You must first spell and compose sentences correctly, and it is advisable to begin canvassing by knocking on doors, as the deadline will arrive sooner than anticipated.
Yes your right dislexia little but. But yea man. Will do
This man absolutely does not need to be in any office. There are several, SEVERAL stories (confirmed ones, mind you) of his verbal and even physically aggressive behavior in various establishments due to his card declining, items not being available, etc.
I believe there was even an instance in which police were called not even a year ago to a store because of said behaviour.
These are not the actions of someone deserving to run in any office, and the public feedback is anything but positive.
Bob Miller had multiple arrests in munfordville. He’s also a drug addict. His son has multiple arrests too. He’s a very dangerous con artist, thief and liar. The voters need to know this too.
