Lenora Steenbergen
GLASGOW – Lenora (Tody) Steenbergen, 94, left this earth on November 11, 2025. Tody was born in Hartsville, Tennessee, on May 21, 1931, to Leslie C. Brockett and Mary Elizabeth Brockett (both deceased). She is a graduate of Trousdale County High School. After graduation and a short courtship, Tody married Jewett Ralph Steenbergen in September of 1952. They lived in Wedgewood in Glasgow until Jewett’s passing in January of 2014. She and Jewett were members of the South Green Street Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Leslie Brockett Jr, and one sister, Edna Lanwood (Lannie) Brockett Price (Ralph). She was also preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Dewey Steenbergen Jr. (Virginia), and three sisters-in-laws, Mildred Niemeirer (Denver), Frances Holmes (Carroll), and Wanda Self Curd.
Tody is survived by one nephew, Ferrell Price (Elaine) of Bowling Green, and was preceded in death by her nephews, Phillip Price and Sonny Brockett, and one niece, Patty Cymbala. She is also survived by her caregivers, Jewett’s nephew, Bobby Steenbergen (Gayle), and her niece,s Carole Dawn Holmes Durham (Terry), and Lisa Holmes Edmunds (Sammy) of Glasgow. Many other nieces and nephews survive.
Visitation for Tody Steenbergen will be held on Friday, November 14th, 2025, from 10 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service to follow at Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
