On October 11, the Butler County Public Library hosted The Grim Seekers Paranormal, a well-known investigative team from Somerset, Kentucky. Several members of the community gathered to learn more about paranormal activity and the tools used to detect it.

The Grim Seekers are known for their bold yet respectful approach to each haunted location they explore. Their motto says it all: “The dead don’t rest, and neither do we.”

During the event, attendees had the chance to see and learn about various devices the team uses to search for ghosts and other unexplained phenomena. At one point, Mykenzie Fisher, the team’s owner, was asked if she often had spirits attached to her—and whether she could use one of her tools to try to connect with them during the event. She gave it a try, but no activity was detected that evening.

Whether you’re a believer or a skeptic, one thing is certain: The Grim Seekers have a deep passion for uncovering the mysteries that linger in the shadows.

Owners Mykenzie Fisher and Kayla Dick shared that even after years of investigation, they still get scared sometimes—but that’s part of what keeps their work real and thrilling.
