Barry Neil Thomas

CAVE CITY – Barry Neil Thomas, age 59, departed this life on Friday, October 10, 2025. The Barren County native was born on December 4, 1965, to Wanda Bowles Sturgeon and the late Carlos Thomas.

Barry was saved and baptized as a young man. Over the years, he worked in construction and served the community through his employment with the City of Cave City. Barry was known for his gentle spirit, unwavering kindness, and the warm smile he shared with everyone he met. His sincerity and humility made a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He leaves to honor his memory—his loving mother and step-father, Wanda Sturgeon (Windel) of Cave City; siblings, Steve Thomas (Debbie) of White House, TN and Carla Slaughter (Jeff) of Smiths Grove; step-siblings, Michael Sturgeon (Sonja) and Katina Spitzer (Mark); nephews and niece, Alex Slaughter (Jessica), Nathan Slaughter and Stephanie Booker (Keith); step-nieces, Katlyn Holman and Autumn Nunn, along with extended family members and friends that dearly loved him.

Graveside Service: 1 PM, Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the Cave City Cemetery
