Security Planned for Charlie Kirk Vigil on Friday

Barren County Sheriff Kent Keen and Mayor Henry Royce have confirmed there will be officers in attendance at the Charlie Kirk Candlelight Prayer Vigil.  More details on this is forthcoming.

The event will be held on the downtown Glasgow Square this Friday, September 19 at 6pm.  

Both our city and county law enforcement have been present at similar events in the past with never an issue they couldn’t handle.  

In today’s political environment the very small extremes have influenced some terrible results seen coming from unstable individuals and although there is no indication anyone from our communities would ever do such a thing, the presence is to project and deter to the best of their ability.
