Community Comes Together for Back to School Bash

The Butler County community turned out in a big way Wednesday evening for the annual Back to School Bash at Charles Black City Park. Hosted by the Butler County Family Resource and Youth Services Center (FRYSC) and Morgantown Mission, the event brought hundreds of families together to celebrate the upcoming school year. Opening day for Butler County School students is August 13.
From the moment the event began, the park was buzzing with activity. Students and parents lined up for free school supplies, ensuring local children start the year prepared. Booths and tables were filled with everything from notebooks and backpacks to pencils and art supplies—generously donated by individuals, churches, and businesses throughout the county.

In addition to school supplies, families enjoyed an evening of fun and fellowship. Kids played games, visited activity stations, and enjoyed treats from local vendors, while parents connected with community organizations offering valuable resources.
