Congratulations to the Edmonson County Sheriff’s Department newest Department of Criminal Justice Training. Deputy Austin Lemieux-Gravil graduated with Class 558 from the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training.

Deputy Lemieux- Gravil served as Class 558’s Honor Code Officer, lead the graduating class in reciting the Honor Code during graduation and received the “Fit for Duty” physical fitness award. Deputy Lemieux-Gravil is also part of the first graduating class at the new Western Kentucky Police Academy in Madisonville, KY.  Lemieux-Gravil completed the 20 weeks of basic training consisting of more than 800 hours of instruction in training areas such as patrol procedures, physical training, vehicle operations, defensive tactics, criminal law, traffic and DUI, firearms, criminal investigations, cultural awareness, bias-related crimes and tactical responses to crisis situations. Congratulations Austin!
