William Cleo “W. C.” Shirley

William Cleo “W. C.” Shirley passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Hart County Healthcare. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Bertha Lee Shirley; parents, James Cleo Shirley and Louise Marie Hayes Shirley; and siblings, Gladys Smith, Dorothy Bunton, and Ann Grider.

Mr. Shirley formerly attended the Randolph Baptist Church and enjoyed antiquing, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his children, Lesa Vandehey (Roger), William Lee Shirley, Jeffrey Neal Shirley (Ronda), Melissa Faye Radford (Chris); two honorary children, Donnie Lamont Tooley and Sherketa Annette Tooley; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, April 26, 2025, at McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial in the Randolph Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday after 11:00 am at McMurtrey Funeral Home.
