Thelma Kay Chapman
GLASGOW – Thelma Kay “Aunt Kay” Chapman, 69, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Signature Health Care in Glasgow. She was the daughter of the late James Edward and Lelia Mae Binkley Chapman. She had a loving heart and loved helping with the raising of her nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, she was always quick with a smile and a joke for the children. She was a member of Locust Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her caregivers, Leonard and Brandy Ballard; her nieces and nephews, Ashley Bowles (Matt), Amber Chapman (Kelsie), Megan Chapman (Shane), Jennie Smith (Josh), Tracy Smith (Mandi), Brandi Manning, Bubba Ballard (Tabby), Lacie Spillman (Greg); several great-nieces and nephews, Brayden Emmitt, Paxton Emmitt, Larkin, Keldon, Brantley, Brenlyn, Alexis Cannon, Ziva Cannon, Bailey Smith, Chase Smith, Cole Smith, and Jhett Smith; lifelong friend, Bobby Close.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leon Chapman and Thomas Chapman; one sister, Shirley Wilburn; one sister-in-law, Genene Chapman; and one niece, Pam Smith.
The funeral will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 21, 2025, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Tracy Church Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00 am Friday until time for services.
