Egene Forrest

CORYDON, IN – Egene Forrest 81, formerly of Edmonton passed away Friday, March 7, 2025, at Clark Memorial Hospital. She was born July 12, 1943, to the late Walter and Ruby Pedigo Garrett. She was also preceded in death by her husband Lowell Forrest.

Egene was an honorary member of Park Methodist Church. She loved working in her flower beds, reading, collecting anything with butterflies on it, traveling to the Smokey Mountains, and spending time with her grandkids and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Laurie Forrest of Indiana; four grandchildren, Philip Martez, Kristen Mertz (Josh) Martin, Charles (Taylor) Mertz, and Sarah (Caleb) Gresham all of Indiana; five great-grandchildren, Jane Martin, Ryker Mertz, Arrow Mertz, Zoey Gresham, and Jax Gresham.

Graveside services for Egene Forrest will be held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 Am until 2:00 PM here at the funeral home.
