George Wayne Cherry

GLASGOW – George Wayne Cherry, 78, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025, at home surrounded by family. He was the son of the late William Mack Cherry and Edna Mae Levy Cherry.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Cherry; two sons, Anthony Cherry (Misti) and Eric Cherry (Dawn); one sister, Phyllis Nunn (Steve); sister-in-law, Doris Cherry; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, James Cherry, Doris “Doc” Cherry, and Glenn Cherry; two sisters-in-law, Edith Cherry and Glenda Cherry.

The funeral will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 10, 2025, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday and after 10:00 am Monday until time for services.
