Betsy Lee Waddell

CAVE CITY – Betsy Lee Waddell, 76, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Albro Blair and Veda Barnes Blair. She was retired from Mammoth Cave Garment. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Timmy Waddell and Larry Shannon Waddell; one granddaughter, Holley Scott (Nick); and two great-grandsons, Ryan Scott and Noah Scott. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jessie Marshall Blair, Taylor Blair, and Bobby Wayne Blair; six sisters, Edith Marie Poynter, Margaret Ann Huff, Brenda Kay Crain, Joyce Mae McCubbin, Teresa Jean Owens, and Peggy Sue Spann.

The funeral will be at 4:00 pm on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral with a private burial in the Cave City Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 am Sunday at the funeral home until time for services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
