Geneva Flora Bennett

GLASGOW – Geneva Flora Bennett, 85, of Glasgow, Kentucky, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025, at NHC Health Care Center. She was the daughter of the late Chester Edward Garrett and Leether Edith Parrigan Garrett. She was a devoted member of East Fork Missionary Baptist Church until her health declined. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and a friend to everyone; she devoted her life to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and God.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Charles Dunham Bennett; three children, Vernon Bennett (Brenda), Darlene Wells (Jeff), and Darrell Bennett (Nancy Miller); three grandchildren, Anthony Bennett (Ashleigh), Melissa Jones (Bryan), and Jamie Griffiths (Austin); six great-grandchildren, Isaac Jones (Sydney), Noah Jones, Mason Bennett, Reagan Griffiths, Lilleigh Bennett, and Garrett Griffiths; one sister, Shirley Dowell; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Louise Garmon, Janet Compton, Hazel Garrett, and Wilbert Garrett.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday and after 9:00 am Wednesday until time for services.
