James “Jimmy” Preston Lane

GLASGOW – James “Jimmy” Preston Lane, 71, passed away Friday, February 13, 2025, at his residence. He was born in Glasgow, KY on August 31, 1953, to the late Preston and Elsie Jeffries Lane.

Mr. Lane attended Seven Springs Church and retired from IMI in Glasgow. He enjoyed sales, auctions, and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Teresa Finn Lane of Glasgow, KY; three children, Amanda Lane Brown, Joey Lane, and Jamie Clark (Todd) all of Glasgow, KY; ten grandchildren, Kayla, Ressie, Shelby, Kelsey, Brailey, Chloe, Shaelyn, Kamryn, Braile, and Callee; two great-grandchildren, Finn and Elsye Kay; a sister, Janice Turner (Clay) of Summer Shade; and several other friends and relatives.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Terry Lane; and an infant sister, Nancy Karen Lane.

The family chose cremation, and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Seven Springs Church. A memorial visitation will be from 11:00 am-1:00 pm Tuesday at Seven Springs Church.
