Barbara Ann Mayo Smith

GLASGOW – Barbara Ann Mayo Smith, age 86, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025, at Signature Health Care in Glasgow. She was born in Etoile, Kentucky on September 22, 1938, to the late Rossel Mayo and the late Verda Anderson Elliott Mayo.

She is survived by her children, Robbie L. Cudnik (Bill) of Indiana, Kim G. Cox (Eldon) of Indiana, Leonard Frankie Houchens (Paula) of Arizona, David L. Houchens (Wendy) of Glasgow,  Kenneth Smith of Hopkinsville, Sandy Perdue (Lonnie) of Glasgow, Karen Clark of Glasgow, Tammy Houchens (Roger) of Glasgow, Anthony Smith (Rita) of Glasgow, and Angela Button (John) of Glasgow; step-daughter, Cindy Deckard (Billy) of Glasgow; sisters-in-law, Shirley Crews (Gary) of Glasgow, Mary Houchens McPeak of Glasgow, Diana Smith York (Larry) of Glasgow, and Ila Vay France of Indiana; and several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth C. Smith.

The family has honored Barbara’s wishes with cremation. There will be a private graveside service.
