Gordon Burris

CAVE CITY – Gordon Burris, 79, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025, at the Greenview Regional Hospital surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late John Thomas Burris and Aner Zorader Shirley Burris. He was a retired milk truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Jayne Burris; five children, Jeff Burris (Kathy), Chrissy Mansfield (Lee), Chris Burris (Steph), Rhonda Harper, and Tommy Harper (Stephanie); seven grandchildren, Zack Burris (Jessica), Jacob Burris (Ayla), Thomas Mansfield, Tiffany Waters, Alan Harper, Chris Clan (Ellie), and Ashley Mansfield; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Elsie Jessie; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy Faye Jessie Burris; two brothers, Junior Burris and Roger Burris; three sisters, Ruby Williams, Helen Jackson, and Mary Wilson.

The funeral will be at 2:00 pm Monday, February 3, 2025, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Green Meadows Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm Sunday and after 9:00 am Monday until time for services.
