Deana McKinney Minyard

CAVE CITY – Deana McKinney Minyard, age 56, departed this life on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. The New Albany, IN native, was born on November 27, 1968, to Sue McKinney and the late Fallis Dean McKinney, Sr. She was married to her best friend, James C. Minyard, who survives.

Deana was an accountant at J.L. French and had previously worked for TSC, Cato Fashions, and as an administrative assistant at Cumberland Valley Manor while she lived in Burkesville. She was full of life and embraced the value of spending quality time with her family, taking long drives with her husband, and enjoying her favorite shows like Elvis, The Golden Girls, and UK basketball. Her love for vacations in the mountains and cruising the Atlantic reflected her adventurous spirit.

Besides her husband and mother, James and Sue, she leaves to honor her memory— her children, Donovan Kirkpatrick of Nashville, Megan Blake (Preston) of Franklin, KY, Magen Mosley (Jared), and Jordan Minyard, both of Madison, WV; her grandchildren, Averi Moore, Kynleigh Moore, and Rowan Mosley; bonus grandchild, Avalon Blake; siblings, Gloria Spears (Hoy) of Burkesville, and Fallis McKinney, Jr. (Pam) of Glasgow; her beloved fur babies, Cullen and Bambi; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

The interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

VISITATION – 2—7 PM, Saturday, February 1, 2025, and 10 AM—2 PM, Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Patton Funeral Home Cave City Chapel
