James Wallace Watt

GLASGOW – James Wallace Watt, 81, passed away Monday, January 13, 2025, at T.J. Samson Hospital. He was the son of the late Clayton Watt and Elizabeth Cowles Watt. He was of Baptist faith. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Anna Rhoton Watt; one sister, Joyce Elmore (Jimmy); three children, Allan Watt (Erica), Vicky Jaggers, and Wayne Gentry; three grandchildren, Kennedy Gentry, Brandi Gentry, and Whitney Wood (Brian); and his great-grandbabies; nieces and nephews, Tommy Cherry, Anthony Elmore, Benjamin Elmore, and Beth Elmore.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Watt; sister, Mable Temples; daughter-in-law, Marla Gentry; and brother-in-law, Buddy Temples; sister-in-law Bernice Watt; and niece, Roxie Webb.

Funeral service will be held at 11 am Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Hatcher & Saddler funeral Home with burial in the Poplar Log Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am-8pm on Friday. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral home is assisting family with arrangements.
