Darrell Thomas Smith, Sr.

SMITHS GROVE – Darrell Thomas Smith, Sr. 89, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Signature Health Care in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was a son of the late James and Flora Smith.

He is survived by three children, Vickie Wright (Joey Wilborn), Darrell Thomas Smith, Jr. (Rachel), and June Jones; two brothers, Dwight Smith and Junior Smith (Florence); ten grandchildren, Bruce Adams, Jennifer Carry (Chris), Staci Montgomery (Matt), T. J. Webb (Brooks), Will Wright (Bethany Mutter), Michelle Riley (Doug), Joshua Smith (Ashley), Blake Haribson (Kelly), and Hunter Jones; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Adams; one granddaughter, Mickie Norris; one brother, John Smith; four sisters, Moline Round, Dorothy Foster, Wanda Smith, and Bonnie Hall.

Funeral will beat  2:00 pm sct, Sunday, December 22, 2024, at the Bevil Brothers Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, Kentucky with burial in the Oakwood Cemetery in Hartford, Kentucky Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home and after 11:00 am Sunday at the Bevil Brothers Funeral Home until time for services.
