Ester Elaine Clark
GLASGOW – Ester Elaine Clark, Age 92, passed away, Monday, November 11, 2024, at Shanti Niketan Hospice Home in Glasgow. She was born in Green County, Kentucky on December 20, 1931, to the late Terry Forest Asbury and the late Lena Mae (Bale) Asbury. Esther retired from Dispensers Optical after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Trinity Nazarene Church.
Ester is survived by two sons, Michael McCandless (Sandy), A. Lynn McCandless; one daughter, Patty Graham; five grandchildren, Michelle Twyman, Billy McDonal, Jennifer Rittenberry, Kyle McCandless, Dustin Jenkins; seven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Tom McCandless; two brothers, Guy Asbury, Ray Asbury; one sister, Vetra Knight.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, November 22, 2024, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery, in Louisville Kentucky. Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, November 21st, and Friday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
I’ve been thinking of Elaine these past few days and now I know why – I guess it was my mommas way of letting me know her friend has joined her in heaven! Elaine was so sweet to us during mommas illness and afterwards -checking up on Bob and us. I have missed hearing her voice lately as I know you all do! My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
