James “Bean” Owen Bragg

EDMONTON – James “Bean” Owen Bragg, 68, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024, at his residence. James was born May 13, 1956, to the late Russell and Blanche Harper Bragg. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond and Ralph Bragg; and brothers-in-law, Jimmy Read, Charlie Smith, and Greg Johnson. James “Bean” was retired from BR Tire. He loved going to play bingo and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Gloria Harper Bragg of Edmonton, KY; one daughter, Kaci (Joe) Froedge of Edmonton; two grandchildren, Mckenzie and Lilly Grissom; three step-grandchildren, Landon, Gavon, and Addison Froedge; one step great-grandchild, Walker Froedge; two sisters, Vola Smith and Charlene (Garnet) Shives; his brother, Randall Bragg; mother and father-in-law, Marshall and Linda Harper; sisters-in-law, Elaine Bragg and Cindy Johnson; and special friend, Martha Bragg. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for James Bragg will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton, KY with burial in the Mt. Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday and after 8:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
