John B. Mott

PARK CITY – John B. Mott, age 80, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, at his residence. The Washington D.C. native was born on November 29, 1943, to Albert and Frances Mott.

John retired after serving 25 years in the U.S. Army, where he did two tours of duty in Vietnam. After his service with the military, he worked and later retired from law enforcement. John enjoyed flying remote airplanes, creating stained glass items, gunsmithing, and was an avid marksman. He was a loyal friend to many, and will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved him.

He leaves to honor his memory– his son, Steven Mott (Marie) of Mandan, ND; six grandchildren, Leigh Barton, Shelby Mott, Zander Mott, Autumn Mott, Sebastian Mott, and Abigail Ricketts; great-grandson, Anthony Barton; and a sister, Judy Holt. He was preceded in death by his bother, Michael Mott.
