Willa Dean Scott Cain Anderson

GLASGOW – Willa Dean Scott Cain Anderson, 82, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024, at her home. She was born May 10, 1942, in Burkesville, Kentucky to the late Bethel Scott and Alma Blythe Scott. Willa worked in nursing for 55 years and retired from the nursing profession at the age of 77. She retired from the Medical Center at Bowling Green as an RN at the age of 73. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from WKU and was a member of Peters Creek Missionary Baptist Church. Willa loved nursing, cooking, sewing, gardening, her family, and especially, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include two children, Doug Cain (Tonya) and Melissa Williams (Brad); four grandchildren, Dustin Williams (Chelsea), Victoria Cain, Whitney Kinslow (Westley), Megan Williams; four great-grandchildren, Morgan, Levi, and Blakely Kinslow, Dawson Williams; five brothers and sisters; a special caregiver, Pam Steele; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Ray Anderson; her first husband, Edward Fowler Cain; and second husband, Ray Thomas Anderson.

The funeral service for Willa Anderson will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until time for the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, send donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
