Clifton “Kip” Glen Byrd

GLASGOW – Clifton “Kip” Glen Byrd, 64,  passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Barren County Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born September 24, 1959, in Glasgow, Kentucky to the late Donovan “Don” Byrd and Betty Huff Byrd. Kip was a farmer laborer and handyman. He loved working on lawnmowers, weed eaters, cars, and anything with a motor. Kip was a very caring man and loved helping others; some say he would give you the shirt off his back if he needed to. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his fiancé, Tammy Walker; three stepchildren, Danny Neal, Tonya Turner, John David Young; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Tony (Alice), Carlos, and Gary Byrd (Kathy); one sister-in-law, Sandra Byrd; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one stepson, Anthony Neal; one brother, Donnie Byrd; and one sister, Donna Bowles.

The funeral service for Mr. Byrd will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 26, 2024, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday morning from 10:00 AM until time for the service at the funeral home.
