Reva Alice Lester

WILLOW SHADE – Reva Alice Lester, 85, passed away Friday, August 2, 2024, at the Monroe County Medical Center. She was born in Summer Shade, KY on May 26, 1939, to the late Luther and Ora Hope Crumpton.

Reva loved crocheting, traveling, dancing, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Frank Lester; daughters, Cathy (Tim) Franklin of Glasgow, KY, Michelle Thomas of Glasgow, KY, and Shannon Lester of Willow Shade, KY; grandchildren, Kayla Early, Kelsie Martin, Ciara (Casey) Chambers, and honorary grandchild, Bryan Melton; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mary Crumpton, Juanita Tooley, and Hazel McFarland; and very special friend and care taker, Rhonda Walton Sexton.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Birge and Earlene Mitten; and brothers, Rondall Crumpton, Robert Lee Crumpton, Richard Crumpton, and Jerry Crumpton.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and will continue Wednesday from 8:00 am until time for the service at McMurtrey Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
