The City of Morgantown and The Barren River Area Development District (BRADD), held their first public hearing at the City Hall on July 16, 2024

An interactive/walk through public hearing was open to the community to come and have their voice heard on the next 5-year plan for Morgantown.  There was also an online survey set up for those who could not attend.  Mayor Phelps along with Emily Hothcock and Haley Parrett with BRADD were there to answer any questions you may have.

The topics for the 5-year plan were Infrastructure, Workforce, Housing, Tourism & Cultural Development, Economic Development, Public Facilities & Services, Sense of Place, Civic & Leadership Development, Public Health & Safety, Transportation and Downtown Development.  People were asked to read over the plans and place sticky dots on the areas they felt were most important to them and if needed, suggestions could be written down and left there as well.
