Danny Ray Martin

RANDOLPH – Danny Ray Martin, 74, passed away Monday, July 15, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. Danny was born on April 19, 1950, to the late Ray and Ruby Sullivan Martin.

Danny retired from Sumitomo after 23 years. He enjoyed target shooting, working on cars, traveling to Florida, and was an avid fisherman. Danny will always be remembered for his contagious smile that would warm up any room.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Greever Martin of Randolph; two daughters, Kim Compton and Tracy (John) Miller of Edmonton; four grandchildren, Peyton (Alex) Altman, Lindsey Compton, Kendall Compton (Sydne Whitley), and Raelynn Miller; one great-grandson, Charlie Altman; and one brother, Lyndon “Tudor” (PJ) Martin. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services for Danny Martin will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, July 19, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Wisdom Faith Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday and after 8:00 AM Friday until time of the service.

Butler Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted to the care of Mr. Martin.

    I worked with Danny for many years at Sumitomo and always was greeted with a smile. May he rest in peace. Praying for his family.
