Margaret Shirley Vibbert

SUMMER SHADE – Margaret Shirley Vibbert, 106, died Friday, June 28, 2024, at the Metcalfe County Healthcare Center.  Mrs. Vibbert was born May 10, 1918, in the Randolph Community, the daughter of the late Vontras and Irene Thompson Shirley.  Mrs. Vibbert was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Vibbert. She was a longtime member of the Hickory College Church of Christ, a retired seamstress for Washington Mfg., and loved to quilt in her spare time.

Survivors include her son, Delbert “Crow” Vibbert of Summer Shade: a sister, Lougene Wooten of Indiana: six grandchildren, Vickie Witty (Larry), Patricia Davis (Kennie), Pam Spencer, Karen Miller (Kenny) all of Glasgow, Gary Spencer and Terry Spencer both of Indiana: two special friends, Karen Bartley and Ray Hodge both of Summer Shade; along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.
