Drexel Gibson

KNOB LICK – Drexel Gibson, 89, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024, at NHC Healthcare. Drexel was born May 8, 1935, to the late William and Ollie Miller Gibson. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Doris Lessenberry; brother, Donald Gibson; and nephew, Lawerence Lessenberry.

Drexel was a member of Wisdom Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served has an elder, treasurer, and song leader. He enjoyed working on tractors and farming.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elva Gray Gibson of Knob Lick, KY; one daughter, Julie (Carl) Nunn of Bowling Green, KY; nephew, Steve (Loretta) Glass; and brother-in-law, Randall (Jennie) Gray.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the New Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30AM Thursday until time of the service.
