Eddie Belle Denison

CAVE CITY – Eddie Belle Denison, age 89, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Monday, May 13, 2024, at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Eddie Belle was born on February 16, 1935, in Metcalfe County. She spent a majority of her life as a resident of Cave City, KY. Eddie Belle was an active member of the Cave City Baptist Church for many years, where she enjoyed being a Sunday School Teacher. She worked at Cave City Drugs for over 30 years, where she built many lifelong friendships. She will be remembered for her devotion to God, her kind heart, her loving spirit, her will to never give up or slow down, her incredible cakes for every occasion, photography skills, amongst many more memories we will all cherish. To know Eddie Belle, was to love her. She loved spending time with her family, friends, as well as her church family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many.

Eddie Belle is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 34 years, Eldon Ray Denison; her parents, G.W. and Vinnie B. Coffey; two sisters, Jean Williams and Julie McAuley; her infant brother, Joseph Coffey.

Eddie Belle is survived by her daughter, Vinna Denison, of Mount Juliet, TN.; her son, Bryan Denison, and his wife, Temisha, of Horse Cave; her granddaughter, Dylan Vance, and her husband, Phillip; her great-grandchildren, Rhealyn, Brentlee, Kade, Arial, Aliyah, Alexann, and Tristan; her sister, Nell Smith; she is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 2 P.M. at Cave City Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Cave City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Winn Funeral Home from 3 P.M. – 8 P.M and on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Cave City Baptist Church from 12 P.M. until time of service at 2 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in memory of Eddie Belle Denison.
