Steven “Onion” Burnett

CAVE CITY – Steven “Onion” Burnett, age 67, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at his home. He worked as a mechanic for many years. He was a loving father, grandfather, and neighbor. Onion was known for making everyone laugh, and was willing to do anything for anyone.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Lee Burnett; his parents, Clyde Burnett and Joeatta Helen Sturgeon; twin sons, Dale Burnett, and Darl Burnett.

He is survived by his daughter, Stacy Burnett (Chad); his son, Jeffrey Burnett (Amanda); three granddaughters, Alaysha “Boo” Burnett, Stacia “Mousie” Burnett, and Daisy Lee Burnett; step-father, Loron Sturgeon; brother, Rickie Burnette (Becky); sister, Scharity Rutherford (Brian).

Funeral Services will be held at Winn Funeral Home at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, May 13, 2024. Visitation will be on Sunday, May 12, 2024, from 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., and after 8:00 A.M. on Monday until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Park City.
