Florida Mae Combs
GLASGOW – Florida Mae Combs, 76, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at her residence. A native of Austin, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late John and Tressie Noble Standafer. She was a homemaker dedicated to her family; a member of the Bethesda Church of God; and a member of the Barren County YMCA.Survivors include her husband, Joe Lester Combs; two sons, John Combs of Glasgow and Jarred Combs and his wife Michele of Cave City; one brother, Sam Noble of Missouri; two sisters, Ruth Hornsby of Missouri and Betty Thompson of Harrison, Ohio; along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2024, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to Breast Cancer Research.
