Charles Lewis “C.L.” Salleng, 81 Passed Away

Charles Lewis “C.L.” Salleng, 81 of Sunfish passed away peacefully April 9, 2024 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green with his family by his side.
The Edmonson County native was an auto mechanic, a carpenter and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. C.L. was a son of the late Clyde Salleng and Marie Durbin Salleng. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ted Salleng and a granddaughter, Kolbie Rae Lynn Saltsman.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday at Vincent Church in Bee Spring. Visitation will take place after 5:00 PM Friday at the church. Gravil Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Bettie Salleng; four sons, Dean Salleng (Mary Ann) of Poplar Springs, Eddie Salleng (Kathy) and Andy Salleng (Patty) both of Sunfish and Stacey Salleng (Tanya) of Stanton; a daughter, Michelle Elkins (Ernie) of Floral City, FL; two sisters, Connallee McGrew of Vine Grove and Phyllis Wright of New Albany, IN; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; five step grandchildren; a special nephew, Jawania Haycraft; and several other nephews, nieces and cousins.
