Wendall “Jay” Vibbert

BURKESVILLE – Wendall “Jay” Vibbert age 69, died Friday, April 5, 2024, at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. Born in Monroe County, he was the son of the late Joe Lewis and Mary Mabeleline Shaw Vibbert. Mr. Vibbert was a self-employed logger for many years.

He is survived by one son, Ezra Vibbert (Maggie) of Glasgow; one daughter, Melody Vibbert of Celina, TN; one brother, Ray Vibbert of Albany; one sister, Sue Vibbert of Indiana; a long-time close friend, Joe Pennington of Tompkinsville, KY; along with several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Lynn, Roy, and Marshall “Dump” Vibbert.

The family of Mr. Vibbert honored his wishes as cremation was chosen with a private memorial service held at a later date. McMurtrey Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
