Donald Odell Robertson

GLASGOW – Donald Odell Robertson, 90, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024, at his residence. Don was born February 4, 1934, to the late Dallas and Lovie (Scott) Robertson. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Oscar Robertson and James Harold “Man” Robertson, and five sisters, Dixie Ennis, Wanda Hoover, Melvola Branham, Virginia Hiser, and Mary Ruth Bryant.
Don was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He was married to the love of his life, Betty Lou (Hurt) Robertson, for 64 precious years. He was a devoted and loving father to his daughter, Kim. She was always with him on the farm and loved being with her Dad. He was also a loving grandfather to his three grandchildren, Jeremy, Lindsey, and Tana. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Don was the proud owner and operator of Don’s Auto Repair and Wrecker Service in Edmonton for many years. He built many close relationships with the customers he served within the Edmonton community during that time. His true passion in life was farming and cattle. He and his sweetheart, Betty Lou, farmed together for over 40 years. Don also served Jesus in every part of his life and was sure to share the Word every chance he got. He would say “I would rather talk about the Lord than eat when I’m hungry”. He devoted many years of his life as a pastor and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Lou (Hurt) Robertson; his daughter, Kim Tyler (Tom) of Glasgow; three grandchildren, Jeremy Harper, Lindsey Tyler, and Tana Tyler; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins who were very special to him. He is also survived by a very special friend, Delbert Gray.
Funeral services for Donald Robertson will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, March 29, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home with burial in the Whickerville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the funeral home and after 8:00AM on Friday until the time of the funeral.
