Bessie Evelyn Martin

GLASGOW – Bessie Evelyn Martin, 89, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Everrett Nantz and Virgie Mae Ferguson Nantz. She was a retired waitress from Kentucky Restaurant.

She is survived by her children, Betty Bailey and Richard “Ricky” Martin (Ann); four grandchildren, Stacy Martin, Chad Martin (Ginna), Christy Wall, and Lacey Bailey; nine great-grandchildren, Nissa Gossett, Dessi Austin, Jr., Shelby Jenkins, Tristan Martin, Austin Martin, Dalton Bryant, Kayle Rhinehart, Ava Wall, and Ellie Wall; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Jimmy Nantz (Lisa); special friend, Gene Cahill; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Besides her parent, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Pete Nantz, Arnold Nantz, and Bill Nantz.

Funeral will beat  1:00 pm Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00 am Saturday until time for services at the funeral home.
