Quilts for Heroes

This is the 4th year that the Piecemaker’s Quilt Guild in partnership with the American Legion and the VFW has made and presented quilts to veterans. This year there were 15 veterans nominated to receive a special quilt on Friday, November 10th. The guild began the program in 2015 at the suggestion of one of the members. The guild has presented a total of 43 quilts to veterans and their membership has grown to 54 members.
The quilts were pieced by Julene Johnson, Marilyn Miller, Charlotte Sparks, Kathi Steele, Charlotte Atkins, Mary Morrison, Candy Shirley, Becky London, Bonnie Froggett, and Cathy Nunn and the quilts were quilted by Becky London, Mary Morrison, Kathi Steele, Bonnie Froggett, and Marilyn Perkins.
Members of the Piecemaker’s guild presented the quilts to the Veterans. These ladies do an amazing jobs on these beautiful quilts and they are presented to some amazing Veterans.
