Alice Mae Madison

MACON, GA – Alice Mae Madison, age 83, peacefully departed this life with her family by her side on Thursday, October 12, 2023.  The Edmonson County, KY native was born on July 20, 1940, to the late Guy Lindle and Edith Webb.  She was married to her best friend and husband of sixty-one years, Gerald A. Madison, until they were parted by his death on July 11, 2017.

Alice Mae and Gerald moved their young family to Georgia in 1979 to continue his career with Brown & Williamson.  While Gerald progressed in his career, Alice Mae worked as a housewife and mother and lovingly cared for her family. She was the true definition of a virtuous woman and help mate. Alice Mae, Gerald, and other family members were charter members of Barfield United Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member until her health began to fail. They dearly loved their family, but above all, they loved the Lord.

She leaves to honor her memory— her children, Gerald Wayne Madison (Pam) of Macon, GA, Brian Madison (Brenda) of Minnesota, and Regina Madison, of Macon, GA; six grandchildren, Amanda Madison Roland, Crystal M. Gross (Eric), Gerald W. Madison, Jr. (Angie), Brian Keith Madison, Joshua J. Spivey, and Jonathan Spivey; seven great-grandchildren, Brody (Tessa), Emma, Trent, Alaina, Courtney (Michael), Brianna, and Addy; one great-great grandchild, Harper; in-laws, Gertie Emma Hill (Mike), Dot Madison, Nancy Madison, Judy Webb, Martha York, Arnold Duvall (Gladys), John Madison (Carla), and Anthony Madison (Pam); along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Interment will be in Barfield Church Cemetery.
