The Metcalfe County Hornet Marching Band has had a great season so far.
The Metcalfe County Hornet Marching Band had a great performance at the Taylor County Marching Invitational. They earned 2nd place in Class 2A, best percussion in Class 2A, 6th Overall in Finals Appearance, 5th in Music, and 2nd in Overall Percussion.
The band debuted their 2026 production, “Forged by Fire”, at the Mark Twain Adair County Exhibition on August 29.
September 26 performance at Taylor County.
The September 19th performance at Hart County placing 4th in Class 2A.
October 24, the Metcalfe County Marching Band headed to Hopkinsville, Kentucky, to compete in the 2026 KMEA Regional Championships. They earned 5th in Class 2A and are state bound! Sixty-two bands competed on Saturday, Oct. 31, in the KMEA State Marching Band Championship semifinals, with Metcalfe competing at Campbellsville University. The top six bands in each class advance to the state finals.
