William Royce Garrett

GLASGOW – William Royce Garrett, 84, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Joseph Garrett and Grace Rigsby Garrett. He was an avid runner/jogger, and sung tenor in several Southern gospel quartets over the years, and was of the Baptist faith. He also proudly served his country in the Kentucky Army National Guard.

He is survived by three daughters, Alma Jo Fox (Thomas), Robin Gilbert Martin, and Candi Norris (Junior); six grandchildren, Valerie Melton (Mike), Savannah Driver (Lamont), Kate Lyons (Jonathan), Chelsey Mather, Kain Martin (Antoinette), and Brandon Norris; ten great-grandchildren, Finn Melton, Kai Melton, Oaks Melton, Alanna Bailey, Aleeah Driver, Ella Lyons, Primrose Lyons, Deante Martin, Jordynn Martin, and Kian Martin.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, Terrell Garrett; two sisters, Audrey Wilson and Freda Holder.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with cremation to follow. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and after 8:00am Saturday until the time of service.
