Terry Erwin Pease

COLUMBIA – Terry Erwin Pease, born on September 22, 1936, in Lansing, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his residence in Columbia, Kentucky, on July 4, 2026. Terry’s long and fulfilling life was marked by deep bonds with family and friends and a profound joy in the simple pleasures of life.

Terry cherished the moments spent surrounded by loved ones. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Renette Pease, and his beloved son, Ryan Pease. His presence and wisdom will also be missed by his brothers, David Pease and Bob Bulmer, and his sister, Linda Harris. Terry’s family extended through many generations; he is survived by his step-son, Robert James Cool, and his step-daughter, Brenda Soule, as well as seven treasured grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Each of them carries forward pieces of his legacy—strengthened by his kindness, guidance, and enduring love.

He was preceded in death by several dear family members and friends who held special places in his heart: his father, William Pease, and mother, Ellen Cascadden Pease; beloved siblings, Bill Bulmer, Robert Pease, and Tommy Bulmer; his cherished daughter, Debbie Pease; and his longtime love, Jean McLaughlin. Their memories remain alive within the hearts of those who knew and loved Terry.

Terry’s love for golf was well known among his friends and family, and he took every opportunity to enjoy the game, appreciating both its challenges and its moments of camaraderie. Above all, Terry found true happiness in spending time with those he loved. Whether sharing laughter, wisdom, or simply a comforting presence, he brought warmth and generosity wherever he went. His kindness, sense of humor, and steadfast character left a lasting impression on all fortunate enough to have known him.

The family has honored Terry’s wishes with cremation under the direction of Butler Funeral Home.
